Join Portland Parki and her Quebecois beau, Monsieur Montreal, as they go down the red carpet to the video competition at the World Parkinson Congress. (They thought the sunglasses would fool the paparazzi, but we recognized them all dressed up for the big night out.)
Here’s a link to the 12 finalists from the 75 3-minute videos submitted and here’s your chance to vote for the People’s Choice. The vote is only open till July 22. I don’t see anything restricting the voting to people attending the World Parkinson Congress. Certainly these videos are worth seeing even if you are not going to WPC and/or don’t have Parkinson’s.
Wow, choosing the top video was a hard choice for me to make — these videos are all well done and illustrate many aspects of the Parkinson battle. I ended up voting for “Victory” by Lori Campbell — its catchy optimistic original tune has me dancing around the room in a (you guessed it) victory dance. The winning video will be shown during the Opening Ceremonies on Tuesday, September 20.
